Grinding:
The process of creating a spherical shape in a (round) plate of glass. This process is divided in two stages, rough grinding and fine grinding. During rough grinding the concavity in the mirror is brought to it's necessary depth, and made approximately spherical. During fine grinding the spherical shape is achieved, and the roughness of the mirror's shape is made as smooth as possible. (The next process is polishing)
